Airlines at Quito International Airport are resuming normal operations today, after the indigenous protest was called off last night. The airport is open for business, and it has remained open during this challenging time.

Today, there are still some flight cancellations, particularly in the morning and early afternoon. But the situation is returning to normal by the end of the afternoon and evening. These cancellations are due to yesterday’s events.

This morning, the passenger terminal saw a lot of activity with some passengers here to catch their scheduled flights and others hoping to find solutions from airlines for flights that were cancelled in the last few days.

We expect the air transport service to be completely back to normal tomorrow under normal operating conditions.

We advise passengers and users of the airport to contact their airlines to confirm the exact status of their flights.
