Monitoring Noise Levels

Objective

We responsibly manage noise generated by the operation of the airport through six-monthly measurements, in compliance with Ecuadorian regulations. Additionally, we prepare six-monthly noise dispersion maps to define the levels reached by airport noise in the area of influence.

Objective

The system allows rainwater and wastewater resulting from the operation of the airport to be treated before being discharged.

Carbon Footprint

Objective

In 2015, Quito Airport obtained Carbon Footprint Accreditation from Airports Council International.

Biotic Monitoring of the Caraburo Plateau

Objective

We carry out annual monitoring of flora (plants) and fauna (birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles) to know the status of species found in the area (endemic and migratory).

Reforestation

Objective

Every year we hold a reforestation event at the Caraburo plateau. Three native species of trees of the dry ecosystem are planted: Acacia (Acacia macracantha), Guarango (Tara espinosa) and Cholán (Tecoma stans).
